Make parts on Haas TM-2P Mill and/or TL- 2 Lathe machines. The right candidate will need to setup throughout each day for various parts made from steel, SS, and aluminum. Precision, multi-setup, and speed are key criteria for this Machinist position. Applicant must know how to either program each part from the server or use HAAS G-Code programming to program and set up each part.

Programming and Troubleshooting Shrink Wrap Capital Equipment Systems; Full-Time.

American Packaging Machinery, Inc. Designs and manufactures heavy duty, high performance shrink packaging and shrink bundling machinery intended for three shift applications in the most demanding industrial environments. The role of Electrical Controls Engineer will be to design the programs of our Shrink Wrapping Systems and their components/accessories by creating electrical schematics and programming PLC and HMI controls.. The Electrical Controls Engineers will have the expectation to work independently on new projects while also implementing the mechanical designs in the process and working as a team member.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years creating electrical schematics and panel layout drawings
  • 8+ years PLC and HMI Controls Programming and troubleshooting for automated equipment and machinery
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Software (RSLogix5000), AutoCad Electrical, Kinetix 6000 motion control products
  • Reading Mechanical Drawings
  • Creating electrical BOM from schematics / customer specifications
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and motion control products
  • Familiar with 10/24 VDC, 120/240/480 VAC
  • Some field service and / or start up at customer sites possible
  • Debug all systems and follow through with final performance testing

Qualifications Questions to Apply :

Build Heavy Duty Shrink Wrapping Systems and their components/accessories per mechanical drawings and electrical schematics in our Woodstock, IL location, and service customers around the continental U.S. as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years machine building/assembling experience

Requirements:

  • Responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment on a wide range of metals of complicated subassemblies and assemblies
  • Regulate gas for proper atmospheric control, current and voltage for proper penetration and fusing of metals
  • Check and straighten gasket surfaces and grind excess weld from finished work
  • Perform Mig/Tig Welding as required
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
