About APM

American Packaging Machinery, Inc. Designs and manufactures heavy duty high performance shrink packaging and shrink bundling machinery intended for three shift applications in the most demanding industrial environments.

We began in 1992 with a decision to produce the best packaging machinery possible for each market segment. Every machine component is designed with longevity, reliability and a minimum of operator involvement as its top priorities. In order to assure that our machinery remains consistent from design to assembly, all engineering and manufacturing is done in house.

APM engineers are not limited to yesterday’s technology. New highly efficient, mechanical and electrical components are available now, and significant improvements are close to hand. We were able to incorporate servo drive technology with a unique seal carriage design on our high speed shrink wrappers to achieve production speed increases of thirty percent compared to our closest competitor, and at the same time were able to eliminate maintenance caused by the use of offset mechanical cam technology thought to be the only possible design choice. Our engineering driven philosophy carries over to other important facets of our business as well.

All APM systems are designed with the use or standard, off-the-shelf, O.E.M. components to facilitate efficiency at all levels of involvement. We are able to control pricing, offer accurate delivery dates, reduce our customers’ parts inventory and fill any replacement parts orders in a short time period to maximize production time. Our customer service team can accept, fill and ship orders within 24 to 48 hours to most metropolitan areas. The APM engineering staff is also integrally involved with field service.

Whether the packaging system is purchased directly from APM of through one of our licensed distributors, it will be serviced by factory trained personnel. APM engineers provide training programs for installation procedures, system start-up, general maintenance and trouble shooting, mechanical and electrical operation, and PLC programming for our customers’ technicians and operators as well as our distributors’ service technicians. APM field service technicians are available on short notice to minimize down time. Soon, APM systems will be able to be accessed via modem to further improve our already fast response.
